Here's what the component parts looked like:
In the bowl on the right is the dyed wool - I dyed it purple with food coloring but the colors separated in the bath. On the left is pink-dyed silk. The bowl sits on the unrolled batt.
The wool went thru the carder first, then again with the silk added, then once more to blend some more. I think on my next carding excursion, I'll send it through another few times to get the silk more incorporated into the wool.
